Eligibility:
  1. Applicants must be graduate students or postdoctoral scholars
  2. Applicants must present an abstract (poster or oral) at the meeting
Instructions:
  1. Register for the meeting
  2. Submit an abstract as a presenting author
  3. Fill out the online form
  4. Submit a short letter of support from you mentor to John Tavis or Antonio Bertoletti (both standard and email letters will be accepted)
Awards:
Successful applicants will be notified by November 15, 2003
Applications will be judged based on:
  1. level of participation in the meeting
  2. financial need
  3. underrepresented minority status
  4. degree to which award will advance career of appliant
   NOTE:

Expense Documentation:
In order to award travel grants, we must have documentation of expenses incurred to attend the meeting. Therefore SAVE ALL RECIEPTS for travel, housing and registration. DO NOT submit the receipts at this time-we will request receipts from successful applicants at the time of award notice.

Travel from the USA to Italy:
In order to award travel grants covering all or part of the airfare from the USA to Bergamo the airline must be a USA-based carrier. We will NOT be able to award travel grants covering airfare for scientists traveling from the USA if they are on a non-USA airline.
